Stress

Stress is the underlying cause of most all ailments plaguing us in the 21st Century: Anger, migraine, ulcers, depression, hair loss, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, obsessive-compulsive or anxiety disorder, sexual dysfunction, and possibly cancer.

StressIn fact, it’s been estimated that as many as 90% of doctor’s visits are for symptoms that are at least partially stress-related.

Hypnotism can help you to learn how to relax in a short space of time.

By using specific techniques, hypnotherapists reach the subconscious part of the mind where all information is held, from the day you were born to the present day, and place positive, calming suggestions there that can be utilized whenever you find yourself becoming stressed out.

During a Hypnosis session you will also receive instructions for self-hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy gives a unique quality of rest to your mind and body.

Whatever your situation, stress need not damage your health. If you seek help now, you can quickly get on the road to a healthier, happier life.

Stress can be defined as any type of change that causes physical, emotional or psychological strain. However, not all types of stress are harmful or negative.

There are a few types of stress that we encounter:

EUSTRESS:  A Stress that is deemed helpful or giving one the feeling of excitement or fulfilment (e.g. on a roller coaster, falling in love) eustress makes us feel vital and alive.

ACUTE STRESS: A very short-term type of stress that can either be positive (eustress0 or more distressing, the latter being the type of stress we most often experience in our day to day lives (dealing with road rage)

EPISODIC ACUTE STRESS: Where acute stress seems to run rampant and be a way of life, creating a life of relative chaos (e.g. the type of stress we often refer to as someone being a ‘drama queen’ or an ‘absent minded professor’.

CHRONIC STRESS: the type of stress that seems never-ending and inescapable, like the stress of a bad relationship or an extremely taxing job, this type of stress leads to burnout.
